Systems Engineer

CTComp — Southington, CT

CTComp is currently seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team. You will help design, configure, and implement IT solutions; provide level 2/3 support for Windows Server environments; as well as share your technological expertise with other members of the engineering team, all while providing exceptional customer service to our clients. You will collaborate with other engineers, account managers, and clients to help identify opportunities to enhance, improve, and use new technologies to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers.

  • Advanced knowledge of Windows 7/8/10 Operating Systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Server 2008-2016 Operating Systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, SMTP.
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange and the Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
  • Application Support and Troubleshooting Experience.
  • Hardware Support and Troubleshooting Experience.
  • Knowledge of Backup and Replication Technologies.
  • Experience with VMware vSphere 5x-6x.

Search Engine Optimization Specialist

CTComp — Rocky Hill, CT

The Search Engine Optimization Specialist is responsible for day-to-day management of ongoing search engine optimization programs; including link building, content development and social media integration. This position will oversee assigned programs to deliver superior results. This role combines two competencies: (1) Search engine optimization knowledge; (2) General online marketing knowledge that includes search engine marketing & social media.

This is a part-time position that has the potential to grow into a full-time position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement SEO strategies and tactics in line with our business objectives.
  • Create SEO best practice guidelines and other documentation for engineering and product marketing teams.
  • Be able to improve HTML coding with SEO strategies using a CMS system.
  • Audit our websites and provide technical recommendations for improving SEO visibility and performance.
  • Review project requirements and collaborate with marketing, development, creative and copy teams to ensure SEO helps inform site architecture decisions, site re-designs, content creation and implementation of new site features & functionality.
  • Identify and recommend new opportunities for improving organic search rankings, traffic and conversions.
  • Monitor, analyze and report on SEO performance using Google Analytics
  • Research and stay-up-to date on new developments, trends and technologies within the SEO space.
  • Create and manage Pay per Click campaigns.
